Okay, this might be cheating a little. When I pulled up the Kinktober list for the 6th, I chose toys, and right now, several toys from the Njoy line are my favorites. I have a Pure Wand, an Eleven, and 2 of the three butt plugs (haven’t bought the large yet, though I am really just one bratty comment from Daddy making the order at this point!)
I have had my Njoy toys for some time, but when I decided to write about them, I remembered that I had an old post from a now-abandoned, never-quite launched sex blog that I kinda liked. Since I’m still technically one day behind schedule, and since literally no one ever read that old post, because literally no one ever read that blog, I’m going to post it here for your Kinktober perusal.
It took me a long time to work up the nerve to buy Njoy’s Pure Wand.
A long time ago, I had lots of silicone and cyberskin dildos, most of them not recognizable brand names. I didn’t know better, and never examined what they were made of or whether it was body safe. They sold it in the sex toy store, it had to be safe, right?
At some point, in preparation for a weekend trip, we bought a double dildo that was soft enough that Soren was hoping to be able to bend it in half and use both ends on me at once. When we got it out of the package, it turned out to not be as flexible as we’d hoped, but we played with it in other ways.
The next morning, I felt like I’d burned my vagina. I caught a whiff of the chemical scent of the toy as we cleaned up, and felt sick. I wasn’t right for the rest of the day, and I felt an instinctual repulsion toward the toy so strong that I threw it away at the hotel, so I can’t tell you what it was made of, but I started to do research, and learned about the nasty materials that are out there, and suddenly, my entire collection of dildos became less interesting to me. Within a year, I’d gotten rid of them all. Between my bad experience and the new generation of clit stimulating toys I’d been discovering, penetration just wasn’t my favorite use of a toy anymore.
Recently, though, I started to develop interest in penetrative toys again. I was hesitant, but after hearing a lot of glowing reviews, I decided to give the Pure Wand a shot.
After a long day of many forced orgasms, we went to the toy store and picked out a couple of new toys. When we got home, I couldn’t help but try out the Pure Wand – it was so pretty! We warmed it up, and I slid it inside of me. The curve in it seemed all wrong, and the way I held it put too much pressure against my already sore g-spot. It felt awkward, it hurt a little, and I put it aside, resolving to wait for another night, when I was less worn out, but suspicious that I wasn’t going to like the Pure Wand much at all.
I couldn’t have been more wrong, but I share this experience because it took some practice to get the hang of using the Pure Wand, and it was so worth the effort.
I struggled with how to get the temperature just right. In the right circumstances, the chill of a room temperature Pure Wand can be fun, but when you’re getting the hang of it, you might find, like I did, that just the right amount of warmth is helpful. Initially I’d run the Pure Wand under warm water until it seemed warm enough, but by the time I was ready to use it, it was already cool again. When Soren and I got serious about learning to use the Wand, he got a bowl of hot water and submerged the Wand in it. Then we went about warm-up play while it stayed in the warm water. When we wanted to play with the wand, we pulled it out of the water to find it still a bit too warm to go inside me. Soren held it against different parts of my body, and we kept testing until it was just right.
The angle of the Pure Wand is different than anything I’ve played with, and at first I found that I was fighting against it, putting too much pressure against my vaginal walls. I learned to move with the angle by pushing the Pure Wand all the way up until it was snuggled up against my cervix, then, rather than try to fuck myself with it, I just moved it in tiny increments. Before long, I got a feel for the angle and now it’s my favorite thing about the Pure Wand. Trying to fuck myself with a dildo has always been frustrating – it’s like my arm isn’t quite long enough to tilt it the way I want, when I’m working with a mostly straight dildo. The curve in the pure wand lets me hold it comfortably, and the up and down motion of thrusting it deeper is natural and comfortable. I can angle slightly to increase or decrease the pressure against my g-spot.
Just playing by myself, I have stronger, better orgasms when I combine the Pure Wand with my Hitachi for clit stimulation. But Soren likes the Pure Wand too.
When I use the Pure Wand by myself, I tend to start and finish with the larger end – I move it less in the beginning, then more as I need more stimulation. When Soren plays with it, he likes to use the smaller end in my ass while he fucks me, or uses the smaller end in my vagina while he fucks my ass. The pressure that the curve exerts means that he feels it more intensely than other toys when we play that way, and it’s been one of his favorite features.
It has become an essential bedside toy for me, and I already have my eye on the Pure Wand’s big brother, the Eleven.
(As I said in the intro, this is an old review and I have since purchased and adventured extensively with the Eleven. That, however, is a story for another day!)
